Not everyone wants an IPA, and that’s okay – there are plenty of great beers out there to explore.

One alternative is Monty’s Aged Rye Pale Ale, it has the same alcohol content as an IPA but is something else entirely.

Old Tomorrow Brewery took its name from the nickname of Canada’s first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald when it entered the Toronto craft beer scene back in 2015.

Monty’s Aged Rye Pale Ale is inspired by Canadian Skeleton Champion Jon “Monty” Montgomery, who downed a pitcher of beer after his victory at Whistler in the Winter Olympics.

This ale is infused with Canadian Rye Whiskey and aged in oak barrels.

The rye, caramel, and spice notes are present when you taste this RPA. It’s not as bitter compared to a traditional IPA, and is a more accessible beer for people who don’t like bitter and over the top hops, yet find lagers too sweet.

This beer can be served with a whole variety of different dishes and makes a great beer to sip in the backyard on a summer’s evening.
