Review: Citra Ass Down by Against the Grain Brewery
Typically, a Double IPA shouldn’t be so malt-heavy, but I could still see myself drinking this in the future, so clearly they have done something right.

I would be more than happy to keep this stocked in the fridge as a perfect example of a classic west-coast DIPA. Smooth, incredibly drinkable, even at 8.5% ABV.
Surfin Bird by El Segundo Brewing has joined the ranks of my Top 5 DIPAs. Incredibly clean and crisp, this can appeal to hop newcomers and hopheads alike.
When I heard that The Foodery was going to be welcoming Avery Brewing for a beer tasting, I had to jump at the chance. Join me as I review SIX of their beers.
Overall a spectacular American Imperial / Double IPA that should be on everyone’s radar, on par with fan favorites like Pliny the Elder or Heady Topper.
Medium-bodied, soft and creamy, this is just an absolutely quaffable IPA. I look forward to trying the entire lineup when I visit Trillium Brewing Company.
