Like most days, it seems I’ll be raving about Double Nickel beers again today. What started as a conversation among friends led to the creation of one of New Jersey’s premier craft breweries. The doors officially opened in October 2015, rapidly expanding their footprint and distribution ever since.

Today we have Double Nickel Brewing Company’s Leisure Police, a mango milkshake IPA dry-hopped with Citra. As per usual, if it has citra, it’s probably something I’ll end up liking.

Hazy, enticing orange-amber pour. The nose is pure mango and vanilla. Bringing it to my lips, I can taste juicy, ripe mango with some hints of lemon and lime from the citrus hops alongside vanilla and lactose, all very well balanced.

Good for hopheads but it won’t scare away those afraid of a hoppy IPA, feel free recommending this to any of your friends. This is a spectacularly smooth, creamy brew, medium-bodied, never overwhelming.
